With a hunger for education and cultural immersion, Hannibal High School Spanish teacher Kristina Licatese-Linn is ready to take that passion across the globe this summer as a Fulbright scholar. Antique Quilt To Be Raffled At Charity Yard Sale

The weather for Oswego Industries’ Community Yard Sale will be warm and sunny. But, it can still get chilly at night. You can warm up with a beautiful antique quilt and help Oswego Industries and its sister agency, Arc of Oswego County, at the same time. At the Community Yard Sale to benefit Oswego Industries, one lucky person will win this quilt. The antique quilt was donated by Dale and Rich Rima along with their son, Alex.

Buddy and Porky Pet Health – Urge USDA To Approve Organic Animal Welfare Rule

It was only in January this year that the Unites States Department of Agriculture agreed to a new rule requiring that farms raising animals for the “USDA Organic” label meet certain minimum standards of animal care. Known as the organic animal welfare rule, it was to be the first comprehensive on-farm federal protection for animals in American history. But that was January. This week, new leadership at USDA announced that they will delay implementation of the rule until November – or possibly never.

Ray Bodley High School Principal Donna Parkhurst and FTA Executive Vice President Karen Noel before FTA President David Derouchie offered remarks.
