Bemelmans Walking Tour Set At Fort Ontario Tonight

Today, (May 17) at 7 p.m., Superintendent Paul Lear will lead a Ludwig Bemelmans themed walking tour of the Fort Ontario Military Reservation National Register District. The tour will assemble at the fort’s main parking lot and visit points described by Bemelmans in his book about his World War I army service in the Medical Corps at Fort Ontario, “My War with the United States.”

The Fulton Art Association will hold its 44th annual art show and competition May 20 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and May 21 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Fulton Municipal Building, 141 S First St. The association was started by a group of dedicated artists with a vision for the future. While current Fulton Junior High School eighth graders won’t become high school freshmen until the fall, the transition from FJHS to G. Ray Bodley High School has already begun.
