The Oswego County Office for the Aging staff will visit several communities in Oswego County during May to offer program information and assistance with applications to those who are unable to visit the Oswego office.

Steve Chirello updated the Fulton Rotary Club on the Literacy Coalition of Oswego County’s recent activities. The coalition is all volunteer and is the hub of referrals for resources for the county.
The Spring Rummage and Bake Sale at the Minetto United Methodist Church will be May 5, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and May 6, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday will be Bag Day – all you can put in a paper grocery bag for one low price. There will also be a luncheon on Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For nearly two years, Rick Sivers has been reading over and over again the book, “My War With the United States” contemplating how to turn it into a play. The book, written by Ludwig Bemelmans, author of the Madeline series of children’s books, details his time in the US Army while stationed at Fort Ontario and other locations.
Hannibal High School’s Entrepreneurship class kicked off its “Business Sharks” Project-Based-Learning Experience by visiting two local businesses. Students visited Travis Floral Shop and Kim’s Cafe prepared with questions in order to investigate how these local businesses got started and how they stay successful.
The event will be held May 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and May 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.at the church, which is located at 758 State Route 176, just west of Fulton.
Oswego County Legislator Daniel LeClair, District 8, presented representatives from Oswego County Opportunities Services to Aid Families Program with a certificate proclaiming April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Oswego County.
