The Addiction Awareness Group, started last year by Cori Welch and Amy Pelow, is planning its first Addiction Awareness Walk for August 21. The walk is free and open to the public to spread awareness about the growing problem of addiction.
Residents at St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Residence were treated to a wonderful performance when the 40-plus members of the Oswego County New Horizons Band visited. Members of the band performed a wide variety of musical numbers, including some with a decidedly patriotic feel.

The Fulton Jazz Festival, returns Aug. 12 and 13, featuring trumpeter Jumaane Smith, lead trumpeter for internationally famous vocalist Michael Buble. The event is on the shore of Lake Neahtahwanta, behind the Fulton War Memorial on Route 3 and admission is free.

Friends of Mexico Point Park is pleased to announce that NYS’s Queen of Country, Josie Waverly, will be performing at Mexico Point Park on July 17. The concert will start at 6 p.m. with Mexico’s own Emelee Harrington singing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
The Club House Tavern in Oswego and Eagle Beverage have joined together to cook up an idea to benefit United Way of Greater Oswego County’s annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign. On July 30 from 8 – 11:30 a.m. The Club House Tavern, 126 W. Second St., will host a breakfast in support Stuff-A-Bus.
Residents of Morningstar Residential Care Center recently enjoyed a fishing trip to Minetto, which also included a picnic lunch.
