Peeps in Pools Scheduled
Clear one-note calls of Spring Peepers invite everyone to explore the enchanting woodland nurseries of spring, vernal pools. Salamanders and frogs emerge from winter hibernation and migrate to these shallow breeding pools. On April 10 at 2 p.m. the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center will host Peeps in Pools.

AmeriCorps member, Sandra L. Waldron has re-joined AmeriCorps and is planning a community involvement project to benefit youth and families establishing independent housing. In Oswego County, Oswego County Opportunities provided on-going services to 1,392 homeless individuals in 2015.

Legislators Reappoint Three to Soil and Water District Board
The Oswego County Legislature reappointed three members to the Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District board of directors during its March 10 meeting. County legislators Linda Lockwood and Terry Wilbur were reappointed to new terms as legislative representatives on the SWCD board and Barry Leemann of Amboy was reappointed to represent the Oswego County Farm Bureau.
