Theresa Robinson, constituent services representative from Congressman John Katko’s office, presented Oswego County Opportunities Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier with a flag that had previously flown above the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. Katko sent the flag in recognition of OCO’s 50th Anniversary.
G. Ray Bodley High School honors humanities students are making history. Freshmen Andrew and Aaron Dedich advanced to the state level National History Day competition after winning second place in the regional National History Day competition earlier this month at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse.
The SUNY Oswego Jazz Ensemble and Latin Jazz Ensemble will host SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music Latin Ensemble in a free concert April 1. All three ensembles will perform. Eric Schmitz of the music faculty leads the SUNY Oswego ensembles, while SUNY Potsdam’s Marsha Baxter and Peter McCoy lead the 26 players of the Crane School.

Undersheriff Gene F. Sullivan III, from the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, was a recent guest at an Oswego Rotary club meeting. Sullivan described the duties of an undersheriff and spoke about current events within the Sheriff’s Office.
After months of rehearsal at CNY Arts Center, Seussical Jr is ready to debut with a cast of nearly 30 children, ages 7-15, April 1-3 and 8-10 at 11 River Glen Drive on the Cayuga College Fulton Campus. The musical is directed by Adam Schmidtmann and music directed by Gina Holsopple with Jessie Dobrzynski as choreographer.
