The Fulton City School District has engaged community members, parents, students and teachers in collecting data to be used for school improvement initiatives. More than 2,200 respondents answered survey questions with categorized answers of an item being either an asset, an emerging strength or potential risk.
Dr. Frank Fruce recently visited Fairgrieve Elementary School to explain the importance of brushing and flossing teeth. He said not only does what people eat and drink effect how people grow, food particles and beverages also can cause plaque and germs to collect on teeth if the teeth are not brushed.

The Oswego County Health Department recently presented local pediatrician Dr. Shashikant Bhopale a certificate from the NYS Health Department in recognition of his patients’ high immunization rates. The award is presented to practitioners who achieve 90 percent or higher in having their 19- to 35-month-old patients fully immunized by Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices guidelines.
On March 15 the students within the Fulton City School District in grades UPK – 12 will have an early dismissal. Grades 7 – 12 will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. and morning Pre K – 6 will dismiss at 11:15 a.m.
The United Baptist Church of Scriba will host a spaghetti dinner at the Mexico VFW, located on Route 3, on March 19 to support our local “Blessings in a Backpack” program in Mexico.

Award-winning singer songwriter, Scott Krippayne, will perform at Oswego First United Methodist Church on April 9 at 7 p.m. Krippayne is an Emmy-nominated songwriter and producer.
