A monthly discussion of James Joyce’s classic Ulysses starts Thursday (Feb. 11) at 6 p.m. in the Oswego Public Library’s community room.

The tradition of Phoenix Central School District musical excellence continues with two John C. Birdlebough High School juniors’ participation in the New York State School Music Association’s 2015 Winter Conference at the Rochester Convention Center in December.
A handful of students at Fairgrieve Elementary School were recently recognized for exceeding classroom expectations throughout January. Classroom teachers each selected one student who has been kind and patient, gave their best effort, used materials and equipment properly, left the room only with permission, and never gave up.
The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.
To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.
The OPF Committee has announced its annual T-shirt design contest, which is open to anyone who would like to submit a design entry. The design has to include the title, “Oswego PorchFest 2016” along with any other elements the designer comes up with.
