Several students from the area recently graduated from Hartwick College.

“Today, women are doing big things,” said Senator Ritchie. “More and more frequently, females are found serving at the helm of businesses and organizations, being elected to office and taking on different leadership roles within our community. The Upstate Women’s Leadership Council seeks to tap into the expertise of our local leaders to help to inspire other women who want to follow in their footsteps.”

To earn Dean’s List honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on August 23, serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will be pulled pork barbecue on roll, potato salad, tossed salad, and dessert.

Residents at St. Francis Commons celebrated the birthday of iconic actress Lucille Ball, who was born on August 6 in Jamestown, NY, with a party featuring a special guest appearance by none other than Lucy herself.

“Moving Women to Power” is not only the Connections tagline, it’s also the number one goal of every Connections conference. That is why Connections has created the “Woman of Power” award. This award will recognize a woman whose civic and community service goes beyond “normal” responsibilities, creating a lasting and beneficial impact on the community.

Children must turn four years old on or before December 1, 2015, to register for our Universal Pre-Kindergarten program; and Children must turn five years old on or before December 1, 2015, to register for Kindergarten.

is hosting events and a promotion to grow the Oswego coworking community.
