Fulton Rotary program chair Nancy Kush Ellis introduced Kelly Weaver who explained the work that Friends of Fulton Parks has been doing to improve play in our parks. Weaver did a nice presentation of how play and the importance of free play, is important to child development.

The Pulaski Historical Society will join in the celebration of “Old Home Days” with a special display at the museum, of stories and photos from past festivities. Included will be advertisements, articles and pictures from the 1910 “Old Home Week,” when the Memorial Boulder was installed and dedicated in South Park.
The eighth annual Harborfest musical, Wonderland, will be presented by area students, under the direction of Bobbie Palange and Rocky Farden. The musical is based on Lewis Carroll’s classic story, Through the Looking Glass, script by James DeVita, music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur. Wonderland is produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service. Thirty-five young people from Hannibal, Mexico, Fulton and Oswego fill out the cast of strange and wonderful characters.
Mayor Peggy Manchester is pleased to announce that the 10th Mountain Division Rock Band will come to the Lacona Farmers’ Market on July 30. The band will play from 5 to 7 p.m. The market is held on the corner of Maple Avenue and Harwood Drive and runs each Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Burritt Motors, 340 Route 104 East, will host an electronics recycling day for Oswego County businesses and households at the dealership from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Aug. 8 for Oswego Industries as part of an ongoing collection program that also generates jobs for people with developmental disabilities.
W. Donald Moss was named veteran of the year by Lake City Lodge No. 127. He served as a sergeant in the Marine Corps in the Pacific Campaign during World War II. He is the senior past master of Lake City Lodge having served in 1951.
