The next full board meeting will be held on March 26. It will take place at 8 a.m. in room 118A of Rich Hall at SUNY Oswego.
The Oswego County Health Department is observing National Groundwater Awareness Week March 8 to March 14.

Oswego County STOP-DWI Coordinator Robert Lighthall has announced that Oswego County police agencies will participate in a special enforcement effort to crackdown on impaired driving. “There are no warnings,” Lighthall said. “Our message is simple. Have a plan before you go out. Walk. Ride. Carpool. Call a cab. Just don’t drink and drive.”
The Oswego County Health Department will hold eight rabies clinics at locations around Oswego County this year. All clinics will be held on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The first clinic will be March 25, at the County Highway Garage, 31 Schaad Drive, Scriba.
Elementary students in the Oswego City School District celebrated Dr. Seuss’s Birthday and Read Across America Day recently with a variety of interactive events and readings.
More than 40 students from Sandy Creek’s Elementary, Middle and High School competed for the honor to represent their district in the county-wide Battle of the Books competition on March 24 at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton. The county-wide contest will begin at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
