An outpouring of donations rolled into Emerson J. Dillon Middle School on Dec. 23 as the Polar Express made its annual stop to make spirits bright. Each year, community members, school district personnel, area businesses and other agencies drop off hundreds of new gifts to the middle school.

Compass Credit Union in Oswego recently donated $500 to the Home and School Association at Minetto Elementary School. The donation will help pay for winter clothing needs.

There comes a time where each high school student asks themselves, “College or trade?” At the CiTi Career and Technical Education 10th grade orientation, students learned you may not have to choose.
In the past, the thought was that you either pursued a college education or a vocational trade. Today, the two could be one and the same.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee presented Dona Lee Falciatano with a certificate of appreciation for her 25 years of service.

Representatives from the Church of the Resurrection recently presented Oswego County Opportunities Crisis and Development Services with a check in the amount of $1,000 for OCO’s Homeless Services and Services to Aid Families programs.

The concert featured the Kingsford Park Concert Band, Concert Orchestra, as well as the Third-Fourth Grade Chorus and Fifth-Sixth Grade Concert Chorus.

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Linda Rossiter introduced Diane Sokolowski. She shared a few entertaining excerpts from her book “So You Want To Run A Bed & Breakfast? Was I Crazy?”
