Oswego School Board Meets June 17 at OHS

The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified home health care, long-term home health care, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.
The following area students have been named to the spring 2014 dean’s list at St. Bonaventure University:
To be on the list, a student must have achieved an A in all coursework (4.0 grade point average) while taking at least 12 credit hours. On the list from this area are:
To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be full-time and have achieved a minimum 3.6 semester and cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
As part of the program’s firefighting module, students learn about safety gear, fire safety practices, fire rescue, and essential first responder skills and techniques. The ERTC-coordinated training exercise gave the students an opportunity to put their classroom skills into action.
Pulaski School District voters will go to the polls to vote on a revised capital building project on June 24. After the defeat of a project proposal in March, the board of education reviewed and revised the project for a new vote.
The Nursing Assistant program combines classroom theory with work-based learning opportunities to provide students with the skills needed to obtain the New York State Nurse Aide Certification.
Senator Patty Ritchie recognized the “2014 Teachers of Excellence” and presented the awards at a recent ceremony. Five Oswego City School District teachers were recognized.
