A yearlong school-wide battle for bragging rights at John C. Birdlebough High School culminated with a senior class victory in the Battle of the Classes on March 28 during Spirit Week. Student team probes bitcoins with an eye on manias of past

Bitcoins have fluctuated in value from nearly nothing at their 2009 debut to more than $1,200 in 2013 before sliding recently under $600.
