The US Coast Guard Auxiliary and New York Sea Grant are partnering to offer Young Boater Safety Certificate Training at the Central New York Boat Show at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse.

To be on the list, a student must have achieved an A in all coursework (4.0 grade point average) while taking at least 12 credit hours.

Dr. Stephen J. Havlovic, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Alfred State, has announced the Dean’s List of students for the fall 2012 semester.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

All proceeds will go to benefit the Oz Roller Derby, helping to purchase new uniforms for the upcoming 2013 season.
