TRAVEL ADVISORY: I-81 Southbound Ramp At Exit 16A To Close To Traffic On Monday, September 11

The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting motorists to a traffic pattern change related to the I-81 Viaduct Project. The Interstate 81 southbound ramp at exit 16A, which provides access to Interstate 481 north, will close to traffic beginning around 9 a.m. on Monday, September 11, with the newly-aligned ramp expected to open in the spring of 2025.

The New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT) is reminding drivers to be extra careful this year as school districts begin to reopen across the state. The Association is also alerting parents and caregivers that there could be disruptions to school transportation this year as school districts continue to face an unprecedented shortage in school bus drivers driven by the ongoing demand for workers across the state.

Local Church Announces Nu 2 U & Bake Sale

Trinity United Methodist Church Nu-2-U and Bake Sale is planned for Sept. 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a wide variety of items for sale; something for everyone. The sale (without baked goods) continues Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Bag Sale starts at 9 a.m. Sept. 30.
