Members of Lake Ontario Commandery No. 32 and Watertown Commandery No. 11 met at Sandy Creek Masonic Temple for a school of instruction conducted by Sir Knight and Rev. Charles Roberts Grand Generalissimo of the Grand Commandery of NYS.
The Friends of Oswego County Hospice will host its second annual “Lights of Remembrance” memorial tree lighting on November 29 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Oswego County Federal Credit Union on Scenic Avenue in Mexico. The tree lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m.
The inaugural Hollis Harvest Festival was a huge success, with 551 visitors who enjoyed trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, ghost hunts on the Camp Hollis trails, Halloween arts and crafts, a performance by Jeff the Magic Man, a lit pumpkin trail, pumpkin passports and other fall themed activities.

“Emily’s Mission” to fight homelessness in Oswego County has gained tremendous momentum with already 6,000 items donated. The OMS National Junior Honor Society recently held a hat day and accepted supplies and donations for the cause. Emily Bradshaw, who is dedicated to fighting homelessness, accepted a $90 check.
OCO’s Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County Program is proud to announce that its latest tutor class has graduated and is ready to start tutoring Oswego County adults.
The Master Gardener program of Oswego County provides training to individuals, who, in turn, use their knowledge to work with Cooperative Extension office to extend information throughout their communities.
