Students at Michael A. Maroun Elementary School in Phoenix helped to fill a van Monday with items collected for victims of Hurricane Sandy; adding to the donations made throughout the past month by Central and Northern New Yorkers.

One of my focuses as a lawmaker has been to improve insurance-related laws in New York. There are a number of bills I’d like to see pass that would improve the atmosphere in the insurance industry, crack down on insurance fraud and, ultimately, lower premiums in New York.
The Fulton Shirts ‘n Shirts Square Dance Club recently collected toys and food to aid the less fortunate in our area. The toys were taken to the Salvation Army in Fulton and the food was given to a food pantry serving the Baldwinsville area.
On December 8, Masons and members of Commandery held a joint party in observation of Christmas. Masons from Oswego District were welcomed by Lake City 127 Master James Rizzo.
According to senior health educator Daniel DeBrucker, the availability of the Health and Safety Kits is part of OCO Health Services mission of increasing the community’s knowledge of healthy sexual behaviors and reducing the practice of risky sexual behavior.
The Fulton City School District recognizes that good attendance habits including arriving on time and prepared are critical to school success and also set the foundation for future success in college or a career.
The Granby Elementary School Parent-Teacher Group hosted a Family Craft Night on December 7 for students and their family members.
