Hundreds of thousands of animal lovers have already told the USDA to issue new rules to close this loophole that exempts puppies sold over the Internet from any oversight by federal inspectors. Now the ASPCA needs our help to tell the USDA to implement the proposed rule so it can start protecting dogs now.

Staff and volunteers at Catholic Charities of Oswego County have been busy preparing for this year’s Thanksgiving food basket distribution. Despite a downturn in donations, Catholic Charities’ food pantry will provide more than 250 families with all the fixings for a complete Thanksgiving meal.
Once again the Oswego Elks’ Lodge representatives toured Oswego elementary schools and continued support of area youth. For the tenth consecutive year they rallied to assist education with the donation of hundreds of student dictionaries to third graders in Oswego.
Box Out Bullying, a comprehensive, evidence-based anti-bullying assembly program was presented recently to students at Granby Elementary School.
Sandy Creek Central School District sixth graders recently participated in the Oswego County Music Educators’ Association (OCMEA) Elementary All-County Music Festival, held recently at Pulaski Middle/Senior High School.
Oswego Walmart donated $3,500 to the Oswego City School District “Family Giving Program.” Home and School Association representatives attended the presentation ceremony.
For students at the Make Sense Shop in Pulaski, their annual Thanksgiving Dinner provides the perfect occasion in which to say thank you to their school district administrators and teachers who support their educational opportunities at the shop.
