The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on November 18.
Serving will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

First-year students who maintain a GPA that puts them in the top 10% of all students in their school throughout their first full academic year are invited into the society.

The Hannibal Country Cruizers presented a $2,000 check to the Hannibal Free Library to help cover the costs of the chair lift recently installed in the Community Center by the library.

Oswego Middle School seventh grader Emily Bradshaw continues on “Emily’s Mission” to address the needs of homeless children and teenagers in the Oswego area.

The purpose of the annual meeting was to adopt legislative policy resolutions, listen to county committee activity reports and to elect members of the counties board of directors for the 2012-2013 year.

Members of the sharing and caring breast cancer support group will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. November 20 in the community room of Oswego Health’s Fulton Medical Center.

Oswego County Opportunities recently recognized Melissa Wise, residential support counselor and David Haskins, youth worker, Horizon House, with longevity awards.

Commander Peter Robson with the Challenger Learning Center in Rochester, New York gave third grade students an opportunity to experience the life of a NASA astronaut and started his presentation with a real blast… a video of the Space Shuttle Atlantis launch.
