With just a few days left before the election, New York State 48th District Senate candidate Amy Tresidder is urging residents to vote in the November 6 general election.

ARISE marked October as National Bullying Awareness month by focusing on the issue for six weeks of social skills classes for youth with disabilities. Classes began on September 27 and ran through November 1.

There is something very comforting about getting the winter wood delivered and stacked in the shed. We have a wood-burning fireplace in our living room. For safety sake the chimney sweep comes early in the fall and cleans the flue and checks everything out.

Head Start Preschool is operated by Oswego County Opportunities, which is an agency of the United Way.

The Oswego City School District Board of Education will conduct its committee and regular meetings on Tuesday, November 6 at the Anthony J. Murabito Media Center in the Oswego High School beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Along with a good business decision, Doug Malone, owner of Malone’s Garage in the town of Oswego, also improved his carbon footprint by recently installing a 48 panel solar photovoltaic system.

The Oswego Opera Theater is presenting Welcome Back, a concert celebrating young Opera and Musical Theater talent who call Oswego their home. It will be performed in Waterman Theatre at SUNY-Oswego’s Tyler Hall on November 11 at 2:30 p.m.

The 1988 play by Ann-Marie MacDonald will preview at 8 p.m. Nov. 13, and run at 8 p.m. Nov. 14 to 17, with a concluding matinee at 2 p.m. Nov. 18. All performances will be in the lab theatre in the lower level of Tyler Hall on campus.
