Director Mark Cole strikes gold again with the SUNY Oswego’s Theatre Department production of Steven Dietz’ “Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure.” The Oct. 12 opening performance entertained and delighted not only fans of Arthur Conan Doyle’s intrepid detective, but community theatre-goers in general. The play continues this weekend.

Representatives from a number of Oswego County’s human services agencies will host an Oswego County Youth Program Forum on  November 5 at SUNY Oswego Phoenix Extension Site.

On Tuesday, Area 19 Governor Dan Ferens, DTM, presented George A. Reed, DTM his second place trophy for the Area 19 Speech Contest at the Port City Toastmasters Club meeting held at the Newman Center.

While many people across the state are missing the sunny skies and warm temperatures, there’s another part of the population that’s welcoming the cool weather and shorter days with open arms: sportsmen.

Currently located at Catholic Charities new location, inside the vacant St. Michael’s Church, at the corner of West Third and Beech streets, the Step By Step Wellness Program provides a variety of services to adults diagnosed with a mental illness.

The Fulton First United Methodist Church (located at 1408 State Route 176, Curtis Street (across from the Fulton Junior High) invites children of the community to attend a Halloween party on October 27 from 6 – 8 p.m

As part of the campaign the CAC held a drawing for a backpack filled with school supplies courtesy of Staples in Oswego and a bicycle courtesy of Walmart in Granby.
