Everybody knows that to boost New York’s economy, we need to create more jobs. We’re seeing signs of progress here in New York State; and I’m doing all I can to work with Governor Cuomo to bring change to Albany and get our economy back on track.

The 10th Mountain Division Band and the Fulton Community Band will be performing its annual Veterans Day Concert on Nov. 3 at 7 p.m.The free concert will be held at G. Ray Bodley High School.

Distinguished television news veteran Garrick Utley will be the guest speaker at the 40th anniversary celebration of the Professional Journalists and Communications of Oswego County (PJC). Members will celebrate the organization’s milestone anniversary on October 22.

The Hannibal Historical Society is once again hosting an Archives Day. It will be held on October 20 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Hannibal Community Center on Oswego Street.

Keith Calaman came into the Fulton Head Start Center to enjoy scarf dancing during large group with his daughter, Cassidy, at the center.

For young adults diagnosed with a chronic mental illness living independently can be challenging.  For those looking for help in doing so, Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Step By Step Wellness Program has the answer.

The three days show family members and friends what SUNY Oswego students have been up to for the first several weeks of the semester, while providing a range of special events for the campus and community to enjoy. Most events are free and open to all.

Lake Ontario’s salmon have been making it on the news a lot lately, and for good reason: a steady stream of mature kings and cohos ranging from 8 to 40 pounds has been ascending the Salmon River non-stop since the middle of September, drought conditions notwithstanding.

On October 22 from 2-5 p.m., Carol Burghart will teach Watercolor Painting. On October 24 from 6-9 p.m., Wendy Ballard will teach an introductory class in creating Chainmaille Earrings.
