Although it may seem like months away, CNY Arts Center is already planning its first production in the New Year with auditions for Skin Deep, Oct. 23  at 7-8 p.m. and Oct. 27 3-4 p.m.

Regional President of Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Dr. Arthur Vercillo presented Melanie Trexler, executive director, and Lois Luber, resource development director for United Way of Greater Oswego County, with a check for $3,500 for the annual campaign.

On October 22 at 7 p.m. at the Hannibal Community Center, the Society will host the program, “Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson – the Man and his Ship HMS Victory.”

Harbor Towne Gifts and Souvenirs of Oswego has once again made a donation to the annual bazaar to be held by the Oswego Hospital Auxiliary. The local business has donated Department 56’s Christmasland Tree Toppers, which is part of the North Pole series.

Tarek Adly was a guest at a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting. Tarek, project manager at Black Clawson Davis-Standard for the past 40 years, is from Egypt. Tarek spoke about his native country and the politics involved in electing a new president there.

Members of the Professional Journalists and Communicators of Oswego County, formerly the Oswego County Press Club, will celebrate the organization’s 40th anniversary at a dinner Oct. 22 at Vona’s Restaurant in Oswego.

The Fall Rummage Sale at the Minetto United Methodist Church will be on October 12 and 13. The hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 12 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. October 13.

Six dynamic speakers are scheduled to talk about Overcoming Fear, Managing Risk and Maintaining Growth at the seventh annual event for women from across New York State.
