A half dozen Oswego City School District professional staff members were recognized by the Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools at Tuesday night’s meeting.
Thomas Drumm wants to follow in the footsteps of U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y). He’s already taken an important first step, thanks to Field Period.
The youngsters were working on an animal unit learning about habitats, adaptations, diet and babies. The culminating activity resulted in a presentation of an animal by using Publisher book, a PowerPoint or Prezi.
Instructor Jim Farfaglia will teach this six-week class for beginning writers or experienced writers who are looking to develop better writing skills. The class will be taught for six consecutive Thursdays beginning June 7.

The Oswego Youth Court will hold a training class for new members from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 9 through 13 at Oswego City Hall. Students in grades 7 through 12 are eligible to apply for the Youth Court training.
