The Fulton Boys’ Lacrosse Program will host chicken barbecue on May 20. The hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or until dinners are sold out). It will be held at the pole barn at the Polish Home in Fulton.

Boy Scout Troop 888 members recently contributed to the Flood Bucket Campaign as a way to do some community service. The buckets, filled with donated cleaning supplies are used in bucket brigades to clean out flooded basements.

For several years, the Rotarians have cleaned the public areas from Phillips Street to Recreation Park each spring and fall. Various groups and citizens throughout the city of Fulton participated in Mayberry Day, the first Saturday in May each year.

Fulton Savings Bank is proud to sponsor Nik & The Nice Guys, an American pop-rock band. Nik & The Nice Guys is a high-energy, rock and roll band, featuring 11 multi-talented musicians/performers, including female singer/dancers and a horn section called the Niktones.

The vote on all school district budgets in New York State is scheduled for May 15.

State Senator Patty Ritchie has introduced a bill that would improve motorcycle safety by including awareness training in the DMV’s mandatory, pre-licensing courses. The bill was prompted by a recent uptick in motorcycle related accidents in our region, including four fatal motorcycle accidents already in Oswego this year, more than any full year since 2008.

Registration has opened for the next Certified Health Education Specialist test, which will take place Oct. 20, at the SUNY Oswego Metro Center in the Atrium, 2 Clinton Square in Syracuse.

Staff accompanied more than 50 participants as they discovered the many attractions and interactive displays that the MOST has to offer that allows visitors to have fun while they learn more about science.
