Now through Feb. 29 the Cancer Services Program of Oswego County is partnering with the Fulton YMCA to offer a free YMCA pass to each eligible individual who completes their complimentary breast, cervical and/or colon cancer screening through the program.
The annual event helps support programs and services provided throughout the county by Oswego County Opportunities. “This year’s tournament is so close to St. Patrick’s Day that we decided to have fun with that theme,” said Diane Cooper-Currier, OCO’s executive director.
During this light-hearted service, The Rev. Rick Klafehn will deliver a specially written worship service that will use many of the kind of rhyming phrases made famous by Dr. Seuss. The service is open to the public. Children and adults of all ages are encouraged to bring a Dr. Seuss character toy and to wear items such as the hat worn in the popular book, “The Cat in the Hat.”
The winners of the two tattoo gift certificates will be drawn during the Oz home opener on Saturday, March 10, vs. the Kingston Derby Girls in the Oswego YMCA Armory.
