The Oswego County Autism Task Force is currently seeking nominations for the 2012 “Friend of Autism” Award. Is there a certain individual that has gone above and beyond their daily routine to help enhance the lives of people affected by autism?

Oswego County Opportunities is calling all bowlers to get their teams together and register for the 2012 OCO Bowl O’Gold set for March 10 at Lakeview Lanes in Fulton from noon – 6 p.m.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Community and Consumer Affairs Committee recently recognized Bruce Allen for his dedicated service to Oswego County Central Services. Allen retired after 33 years from his position as a computer operator for Oswego County Central Services.

One winning ticket was purchased at the Happy Valley Inn at 1628 State Route 69 in Parish. The other, a Hot Cash scratch-off ticket, was purchased at the Pit Stop at 433 County Route 3 in Fulton.

For those who would like to have a preview, Rudy’s will be serving the next Salvation Army Guest Chef dinner on March 7, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. They will be preparing some of their popular sea foods, including clams, scallops, and fish, along with dessert and beverages.

“Our local municipalities can handle many major winter storms on their own by putting resources in place early and working together,” Emergency Management Office Director Patricia Egan said. “This exercise encouraged them to test their local plans and see what changes they may need to consider.”

Oswego County Legislature Chairman Fred C. Beardsley recently presented a proclamation designating the month of March as American Red Cross Month in Oswego County.

The Oswego Children’s Theater will be sponsoring a chicken barbecue at the Lighthouse Lanes bowling center in Oswego on March 4 from noon until sold out.
