Winners Announced For 27th Oswego County Student Art Show And Competition

It was a full house Sunday April 30 at the opening reception of the 27th annual Oswego County Student Art Show! Students and their families packed the Salmon River Fine Arts Center as this year’s awards were announced. The competition was open to any student in grades  7 -12, living in Oswego county including public, private and homeschool students.  The exhibit is now on display and open to the public through May 20th during regular gallery hours.

Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor invites New Yorkers to take part in the Canalway Challenge in 2023. ‘Reclaiming the Right Side Up’ Art Exhibit Opening At The Art Association of Oswego

A new exhibit will be opening at the Art Association of Oswego (AAO) on Saturday, May 6 with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m.. Two ceramic artists, Maddy Bouchard and Marybeth Sorendo will be displaying their work in the Timothy McHenry Gallery on the second floor of the Arts Center. The reception is free and open to the public.The exhibit is entitled Reclaiming the Right Side Up.

Oswego County Invites Job Seekers To Career Fair May 10

Oswego County Workforce New York (OCWNY) hosts its next job fair with a focus on employment opportunities in northern Oswego County. The event is scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10 at Selkirk Landing, located across from the Pulaski High School on U.S. Rte. 11, Pulaski. Oswego County Opportunities donated its space, also known as the Oswego County Opportunities Pulaski Family Welcome Center, for the career fair.

May is National Foster Care Month, providing the perfect opportunity to learn about foster care and the positive impact you can have on a child’s life. The Oswego County Department of Social Services (DSS) offers monthly virtual foster and adoptive parenting meetings. The next one is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 6.
