Dec To Host Inclusive, Family-Friendly Birding Event At Braddock Bay Park

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and partners are holding an inclusive, family-friendly birding event on April 13 at Braddock Bay Park, Rochester, Monroe County. People of all ages, abilities, and experiences with birding are welcome at this event. Some adaptive equipment will be on-hand for use.

Enjoy A World Of Food At The International Taste Festival

You can eat your way around the world at the International Taste Festival via vendors offering delicious items spanning many cultures and cuisines. The festival takes place April 1 in the Center of Progress Building at the New York State Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Admission is $5 by advance sale through March 31 and $10 during the event at the door or online. Children age 10 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available here. USA Today recently named the event one of the 20 best city food festivals in America.

SUNY Chancellor Announces The Dr. Virginia Radley SUNY Fellowship Program And The Dr. L. Eudora Pettigrew Women’s History Summer Research Excellence Grants

In celebration of Women’s History Month, State University of New York Chancellor, John B. King Jr. today announced the Dr. Virginia Radley SUNY Fellowship Program and the Dr. L. Eudora Pettigrew Women’s History Summer Research Excellence Grants. Through these initiatives, students and faculty will have the opportunity to research the significant role women have led in the development of New York State and to recognize the contributions women leaders have played in the state and the region.
