Oswego’s WRVO Wins Grand AP Prize in Statewide Radio Journalism

Sir William McManus presents “Knights, Armor and Weapons of the Middle Ages”

Sir William McManus, right, an expert on the Middle Ages, acquired a “squire,” Nate Woods, left in helmet, to help him during his demonstration to students at APW Middle School recently. McManus’ demonstration provided the sixth grade students with a personal look at life during the Dark Ages.William McManus visited the school to lecture about the Middle Ages. McManus brought with him replicas of chain mail, armor, helmets, weapons and more in a hands-on demonstration about life during the Dark Ages.

Volney Students Are “On-A-Roll”

Students at Volney Elementary School are working hard, overcoming obstacles and living up to the school’s motto, “Do Your Best.” To recognize those students for their positive momentum at school during the month of May, Volney Principal Jeff Hendrickson presented On-A-Roll Awards at the school’s recent spirit assembly. The recipients, pictured above, were: Kayleigh Litchison, Sebastian Alfano, Keira Scott, Tniah Conley, Madison Flood, Lucas Nelson, Mariah Sherman, Gavynn Krick, Macaila Webber, Ethan Caruana, Serenity Lauckarn, Kevin VanBuren, Samuel Johnston, Bret Dygert, Lucas Learned, Chloe Davis, Jason Curtis, Mackenzie Hayden, Kenny Verdoliva, Olivia Pawlewicz, Savannah Castle, My’Kell Kaigler, Dominique Loomis, Ryan Vant, and Miwa Burdic.Students at Volney Elementary School are working hard, overcoming obstacles and living up to the school’s motto, “Do Your Best.”
