SUNY Oswego’s RSVP is seeking volunteers, on behalf of New York Sea Grant, to staff tables at Salmon River Falls Unique Area and Deer Creek Marsh Wildlife Management Area, both in Oswego County.
For the past two years, Dr. James Early and some of his SUNY Oswego students have helped create the first all-digital, 3D map of Harborfest, one of the region’s largest summer festivals.
The Town Board of the town of Oswego, recently recognized Robert Cronk’s heroism by designating him a Home Town Hero.
One of the more unusual fundraisers was a benefit concert on the SUNY Oswego campus, hosted by the SUNY Oswego Lifestyles Center. The “Instill Hope” event was organized by Jessica Leigh Ryan, a graduate assistant who wanted to create “an opportunity to get students on campus connected to the community.”
Guided fishing trips, a gun cleaning kit, guided turkey hunt, and a set of life vests are among the great prizes that will be awarded this summer in the latest photo contest sponsored by the Oswego County Tourism Office.
