United Way Stone Soup Too Luncheon Receives Rock Solid Support

Supporters of the United Way of Greater Oswego County filled the Parish Center at Holy Trinity Church in Fulton as the community came together to enjoy a delicious meal of soup, salad and breads at United Way’s “Stone Soup Too” Luncheon.

OMS Student-Musicians All-County Performers

These Oswego Middle School students recently performed in the annual All-County Band Festival. In front (left to right) are Beatta Trovato, Ryan Smith, Mark Forger, Erin Delaney, Jenna Ballard, Claire Richardson and Chloe Patterson. In back are Christopher Chalifoux, Caitlyn Johndrew, Ben Chatterton, Andrew Hook, Nick Lewis, Reilly Patrick, Angela Rookey, Kaylee Baldwin, Jared Jaquin and Ashton Flint. Absent are Andrew Osetek, Mariel Schickling and Katelyn Wise.

Oswego Middle School String Orchestra was well represented at the annual All-County Orchestra Festival at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton. The students performed with other student musicians on March 18-19.

Little Lukes Childcare staff will be having fun with Autism Awareness this April as an official sponsor of the upcoming “Family Fun Walk For Autism.” It will take place on April 30 at Leighton Elementary School and the Wilber Track and Field from 11a.m. to 2 p.m.

Colorectal cancer survivor Mark McManus meets with Katie Batchelor, program assistant with OCO’s Cancer Services Program to help promote colorectal cancer awareness and the importance of early screening.

Mark McManus is a lucky man. He beat colorectal cancer and is fortunate to be able to talk about his experience. “If sharing my story inspires even one person to be screened for colorectal cancer it will be worth it,” he said.
