Catholic Charities Announces Fresh Food Distribution
On March 9 the Emergency Services Program of Catholic Charities of Oswego County, in cooperation with the Food Bank of Central New York, will sponsor a fresh food distribution.

At its Jan. 24 meeting, the Oswego Common Council approved revisions to the Downtown Design Guidelines and also authorized Mayor Randy Bateman to appoint a five-member committee to serve as the Historical Review Committee.
Dan Duggan joined with music teacher Paul Brewster to prepare the OMS chorus for the grand finale of the concert.
The program’s primary goal is to promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children. It is aimed at children from families that fall below the federally set income guidelines.

Plans for an open sample meeting of the public speaking organization were discussed. Governor Ringold also discussed the Area 7 Speech contest that is to be held at Baldwinsville Public Library on March 5 at 10:30 a.m.

The hallways are lined with red paper hearts each with a students’ name proudly written on it to signify the Charles E. Riley Elementary School commitment to keeping hearts healthy.

Oswego County Opportunities announced the winners of $100 “early bird” drawings from the pool of tickets purchased to date for the Golden Opportunities raffle.

Jim Smiley, director Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s CYO Program and Stacie Roberts, coordinator of the CYO Mentoring Program presented Susan Lippke, Oswego AmeriCorps program assistant, with a certificate in recognition of AmeriCorps’ support for the CYO Mentoring Program.

An initiative of the American Red Cross, I’m OK is a neighbor-to-neighbor program that will benefit residents who live alone as it ensures residents that in the event of something happening to them they will receive attention in a timely manner.
