With Spring and Summer just around the corner, Holy Trinity Parish is thinking “Festival Time.” The County of Oswego Council on Alcoholism and Addictions, Inc. and Farnham Family Services recently collaborated to bring a concessions TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) workshop to several Holy Trinity Parishioners.

Students in Darlene Ochsner’s class, as well as one student from Bonnie Eastman’s class, worked together to write, star in, and produce a creative video for the Student Safety Competition at Oswego County BOCES.

Oswego County’s Child Protection Advisory Council is looking for input from the public on issues of child protection in Oswego County. The council, which was formed by the Oswego County Legislature last year, is sponsoring four community forums in April and May.

During “Safe Stop,” police officers are in marked patrol units on selected bus routes that have a history of busses being illegally passed.

SUNY Oswego’s Civic Engagement Coalition is inviting greater Oswego community nominations, as well as those from faculty, staff and students, for three awards recognizing outstanding student efforts to work toward real change in their local, regional, national and international communities.

A donation was made to the Red Cross in honor of the HEROES CAMPAIGN which runs throughout the month of March in conjunction with “March is Red Cross Month”.

State Senator Patty Ritchie voted to help County Clerks across the state reduce costs and make their offices more efficient by allowing them to accept electronically recorded property transfers.
