SUNY Oswego’s Leadership Oswego County Class of 2011 has hit the ground running when it comes to giving back to the community. At their third official meeting, LOC class members arranged to put together a donation to Youth and Family Services of Oswego County Opportunities Inc.
The community is invited to attend Fulton’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner from noon until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 25. The free meal will be served at State Street United Methodist Church.
In conjunction with the 7th annual “A Country Christmas” taking place in the Village of Hannibal on November 20 and 21, the Hannibal Historical Society is hosting the Village Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday, November 21 at 5 p.m. in the Village Square.
Selected SUNY Oswego graduate students in agricultural and mathematics education now will have the opportunity to combine Peace Corps service and a master’s degree.
After a recent, well-attended Veteran’s Day program, the Oswego Town Historical Society moves on to their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, Nov. 20. This program/meeting will feature a talk by Tom Czerow on the Railroads in Oswego Town.

Lois Luber, resource development director with the United Way of Greater Oswego County, announced that Wal-Mart and Price Chopper stores in Oswego have teamed with the United Way to help support local food pantries.
Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Oswego County, Mary-Margaret Pezzella-Pekow announced that Tim Archer has been named supervisor for the agency’s Adult Mental Health programs.
Several local residents are taking part in an internship this fall through SUNY Oswego’s Experience-Based Education Program.
