Oswego Industries, Inc. To Hold 5th Annual Golf Open

At last year’s “Disability Hole,” Travis Scott displayed beautiful  form, despite having one arm immobilized.  The Disability Hole  challenges players to tee off with a simulated disability, to enlighten  them about the challenges faced daily by the individuals Oswego  Industries, Inc. serves.  The “disability” changes each year and is a  closely guarded secret.The date has been set for the 5th Annual Oswego Industries Golf Open fundraiser. This year’s Golf Open will be held at Battle Island Golf Course in Fulton.

GRB Dance Team Holds Recital Wednesday Night

The G. Ray Bodley Dance Team will hold their annual dance  recital  on April 7, 2010 at 7:00pm in the high school auditorium. You'll see  the team perform several dances together, solos and small groups will  also perform.  It's sure to be a fun evening, come out and support the  girls.  The Dance Team will be holding raffles that evening to help  raise money for Relay for Life. You’ll see the team perform several dances together, solos and small groups will also perform.

Fulton Rotarians Hear From Foreign Exchange Student

Rotarian, Judy Young, left, introduced Johanna Dominquez, right,  at a recent Fulton Rotary Club meeting.  Johanna is the Rotary exchange  student sponsored by the Fulton Rotary Club and the Fulton Sunrise  Rotary Club.  Johanna is spending her Junior year at G. Ray Bodley High  School this year.  Each Rotary exchange student spends one school year  in another country, and will live with three families during her school  year.  Johanna's talk compared her life and her schooling in a small  seaside resort in southern France to her year in Fulton.  Judy is the  student exchange counselor for the Rotary Club. High school students  interested in studying in another country for a year should contact Mrs.  Young.Johanna’s talk compared her life and her schooling in a small seaside resort in southern France to her year in Fulton.

Navy Guest Speaker in Hannibal Schools

On Monday, March 29th, Petty Officer Jeffrey Wahl of the U.S. Navy  was a guest speaker for the language and business classes at Hannibal  High School.  Officer Wahl is a Navy linguist and cryptologist and  speaks eight languages fluently.  He gave the students advice on how to  improve their language skills and explained how his high school language  classes began an interesting series of travel and job opportunities  within the military and also in the private sector.
