The Ladies’ Home Advisory Council holds ‘Warm Your Heart’ Card Party February 11

Ladies Home Advisory Council members; Nancy Metcalf, Denise McCauley and Jean Nicholson hold the cards and invite all to join them at their ‘Warm Your Hearts’ Card Party and Game Day to celebrate the home’s 138th birthday at the Ladies Home, 43 East Utica Street in Oswego on February 11, 2010 at 12:30. Lunch with homemade pies will be served in this lovely setting, door prizes and more. Please make reservations for this $10 fundraiser by February 6, 2010 by calling Jean at 343-2705     The Ladies’ Home is a 21 bed not for profit adult home with a rich history of nurturing elderly women for well over a century. Head Start Preschool to Hold Open Enrollment

Children in this Oswego Head Start Preschool classroom spend time at the Sensory Table, where they are learning about science through hands-on play.  The program will be holding an open enrollment day on Thursday, January 28th from 10 am to 2 pm at OCO’s Midtown Plaza office site next to JoAnn Fabrics in Oswego.Oswego County Head Start Preschool will be holding an Open Enrollment Day on Thursday, January 28th from 10 am to 2 pm. Head Start is a preschool program for 3- and 4-year-old children with the primary goal of promoting school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children. The program includes nutritious meals and snacks, encourages parent involvement, and family support.

Town of Parish Recognitions

Former Town of Parish Supervisor’s Bill Scriber and Frank House and present Supervisor Stephen J. Stelmashuck presented Carl Dayger with a plaque recognizing his 28 years if distinguished and dedicated service to the Town of Parish Highway Dept. 1982 – 2009 Including 20 years as Highway Superintendent.At the regular Parish Town Board meeting on Thursday, December 17 several people were recognized for their contributions and or years of service. Former Parish Town Supervisor’s William Scriber and Frank House joined Parish Town Supervisor Steve Stelmashuck in the presentation to Carl Dayger who served under all three.
