The Children’s Board of Oswego and the local Red Cross Chapter formed an alliance to provide Christmas gifts to local families in need. The Red Cross Club is a group of students who meet to raise money for the Red Cross, develop leadership skills, and to form friendships through caring and working with other Red Cross members.

Recently, Oswego County Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann put out a call for a “citizen-friendly†tax bill, charging the Legislature’s Consumer and Community Affairs Committee and several county departments with the task of developing a new format.
Revelers raised the roof at the recent ARC of Oswego County Holiday Dance. Always popular events, the regular dances give adults with disabilities an opportunity to socialize, dance, and enjoy time with peers.
Doug Malone presented the Hannibal Winterfest committee with a generous donation to cover the cost of a “Night On the Town for Twoâ€Â. The evening consists of a gift certificate for dinner at Vona’s Restaurant in Oswego and two passes to the Oswego Cinema. The committee will be selling raffle tickets for this prize from now until Winterfest weekend. The proceeds from the raffle are used to provide prizes for the winners of the events.
The Oswego Lions Club presents “Toots and Giggles†with headline comedian Jamie Lissow, Friday, January 15th at the American Foundry, 246 West Seneca Street, in Oswego. Doors will open at 7:00 pm.; show begins at 8:00 pm.
