District Governor Visits Fulton Rotarians

Rotary District Governor Fred Cholet made his official visit to Fulton Sunrise Rotary.  Pictured with the District Governor are President Donna Kestner, center, and Joette Dean, assistant governor.  Cholet updated Rotarians on the state of the district and shared his hopes and dreams for this Rotary year.  The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton’s  Riverside Inn.

Ticket Sales ‘Brisk’ For 7th Annual Fulton Lions Loot

Ticket sales for the 7th annual “Lions Loot” sweepstakes have been brisk, said club President, David Guyer. “We’ve sold more than 600 tickets to date and anticipate that—just like last year—we’ll sell all 1,000 tickets for this fun, exciting event.” Lions Loot drawings are scheduled for 1 p.m., Sun. Oct. 18, 2009 at the Fulton Polish Home.

Classified to Perform at Jazz Fest in Fulton

Formed in the early 90’s the band brought together a number of talented Central New York musicians who had performed with some of the top acts in the area. The collective resume of the members was so long that it looked like a ‘classified’ ad, as a result the name Classified stuck and the band began its mission of EOE, equal opportunity entertainment for all.

School Districts To Distribute School Supplies

Oswego County students in need of school supplies will find it easier to get ready for school thanks to the United Way Success By 6 “Stuff-A-Bus” campaign. Volunteers from the Oswego County Teachers Association and United Way Success By 6 staff will sort the collected supplies with a portion going to all of the school districts in Oswego County.
