Renaissance Italy will come alive as the SUNY Oswego theatre department presents Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing,” previewing at 8 p.m. April 19 and opening at 8 p.m. April 20 in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.

Rufus Reid, whom SUNY Oswego faculty member Eric Schmitz calls “one of the finest bassists in the world,” will join Schmitz and the Oswego Jazz Project in concert April 18 in Sheldon Hall ballroom.

CNY Arts Center is staging a reunion of veteran actors Krissy Cook, Beth DeRousie, Bobby Fontana and Dan Williams for a performance of John, His Story  at State Street United Methodist Church, Fulton.

Oswego Players’ veteran director Bobby Fontana is staging Clarence Day, Jr.’s classic comedy, “Life with Father,” slated to open in late April.

The SUNY Oswego theatre department will present Shakespeare’s dark comedy “Much Ado About Nothing,” previewing at 8 p.m. April 19, and opening at 8 p.m. April 20 in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.

The Oswego Players will present the second production of their 2012 Season in late-April. Show dates are: April 27 and 28 at 8 p.m., May 4 and 5 at 8 p.m. and May 6 at 2 p.m.
