Mark Cole, professor and chair of theatre at Oswego, wrote the script and plays Lawrence, an eccentric unearther of little-known musical anecdotes. Robert Auler of the music faculty portrays Alan, a virtuoso pianist. Gerard Moses will direct the performance, which made its world premiere at SUNY Oswego last year.
“American Century,” the new album by pianist Robert Auler of SUNY Oswego’s music faculty, shows the impact of American jazz and vernacular in works for solo classical piano.
Quirk’s Players of G. Ray Bodley High School will begin their 2009-2010 season with the fast-paced farce, Don’t Tell Mother! Performances will be held Friday, November 13th and Saturday, November 14th in the G. Ray Bodley High School Auditorium. Curtain time is set for 7:30 pm both evenings.
The internationally renowned dance troupe Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana will offer performances, workshops and master classes while visiting SUNY Oswego Nov. 4 and 5.
This show is open until November 21. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from Noon to 4 PM and Saturday, 10 AM to 2 PM. It is open to the public and free of charge.
The Oswego Film Group (OFG) presents a free screening of two critically-acclaimed documentaries, Anvil! The Story of Anvil and Heavy Metal Parking Lot at 7 PM on Wednesday, November 4. The films will be shown in the Campus Center Auditorium (118) on the SUNY Oswego campus.
A collaboration with Syracuse University will bring Paul Taylor Dance Company’s smaller troupe, Taylor 2, to SUNY Oswego on Tuesday, Oct. 27, for a series of master classes.
