Physical Therapist Deb Groff has recently joined the rehabilitation staff at Oswego Health’s Central Square Medical Center. “The patients have been great and I really enjoy working in this beautiful, spacious facility that features new equipment, including a state-of-the-art spinal traction table,” Groff said.

The Fulton Medical Center will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. September 19 in the healthcare facility’s lower level conference room. Members of the public are encouraged to donate a pint of blood during the drive.

Joan Newell, MD, is being welcomed to Oswego Hospital’s medical staff and Port City Family Medicine, located at 33 E. Schuyler St., in Oswego. Dr. Newell earned her medical degree from the University of Vermont and completed her internal medicine residency at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

The theme may be apples, which as the saying goes, keeps the doctor away. But that won’t stop Oswego Health staff members from offering free health screenings and information at the Central Square Lioness Club’s apple festival on September 27 and 28.
