Maria is a gorgeous Siamese/Tortie mix. You can see her unusual markings. She was the loving mother of the seven Von Trapp kittens, who have now all found their own homes, leaving her lonely and looking for someone else to adore. She spends hours lying on the office desk looking for (and getting) attention but she needs her own home and her own people to love her.

Annual Light is On for You Campaign Set December 18 at Parishes Across Diocese of Syracuse

Parishes across the seven-county Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse will participate in the annual Light is On for You campaign on December 18. Parishes generally offer extended hours for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) on one evening during Advent and Lent. Participating parishes will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

The Manor Holds Memorial Service To Remember Past Residents

Kathryn Cocciole, director of the Adult Day Health Services Program, welcomed families and friends to the memorial program, which has become a yearly tradition at the facility. Leading the service were the Rev. Chuck Davis, who provides spiritual care at The Manor and belongs to the Pulaski Assembly of God Church.

Generosity To Golisano Grows In Sandy Creek District

Lynn Dumas, a third grade student at Sandy Creek Elementary was looking for a way to raise money, so she created what she called fidgets: flour filled balloons that students could squeeze to ease stress or anxiety and help them focus in the classroom. She created the fidgets at home and sold them to her friends and classmates, earning about $20 for her efforts. It’s what she did with the money that showed her true spirit of generosity.
