Pet of the Week – Fred

Fred was rescued from under a trailer out in the country after his elderly owner had to go to a nursing home. You would think he had been a pampered house cat his whole life (well except for his bunged up ear, probably from being attacked by an animal or maybe frostbite.) He is a sturdy handsome Tuxedo who loves people, complete strangers even.

On November 16, World Pancreatic Cancer Day, people around the world will unite to Demand Better in the fight against the world’s toughest cancer. According to the American Cancer Society in the United States approximately 53,670 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer; only 9% of those will survive more than 5 years.

Cruisin’ The Campus At Thanksgiving To Offer Family Activities Galore

Activities abound, many of them free, from shows at the college’s planetarium in Shineman Center to walking or running the track at Romney Field House, and from an art exhibition at Oswego State Downtown to a naturalist-led walk at Rice Creek. Parking is free, although reserved, handicap and overnight restrictions still apply.
