Area students entering the eighth or ninth grades in the fall can learn more about healthcare careers this July at Oswego Hospital’s MASH Camp. This year’s MASH Camp (Medical Academy of Science and Health) at Oswego Hospital will be held August 2 and 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
SUNY Oswego philosophy professor and chair Craig DeLancey recently made a contribution to the State University system’s freely accessible Open Educational Resources, publishing “A Concise Introduction to Logic” as an Open SUNY Textbook. “I saw a general announcement from Open SUNY Textbooks, an open call for authors,” DeLancey said. “I thought, ‘That’s an interesting project.'”
Oswego County Opportunities Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier announced that Services to Aid Families Advocate / Educator Sara Gozzi was honored with the agency’s prestigious Amelia Whelahan Leadership Award during OCO’s Annual Meeting held recently at Springside at Seneca Hill.
Caroline Lamie, office manager and ghost tours coordinator for Fort Ontario, made a presentation at the Fulton Lions Club’s May meeting.
Lamie shared photos and electronic voice phenomenon recordings of paranormal activity at the fort, Syracuse’s Landmark Theatre, the Fulton Public Library and other local landmarks.
The Auxiliary, which raises money through its successful yearly fall bazaar, as well as through the Oswego Hospital gift shop, along with other events held throughout the year, has donated more than $200,000.
