Army Pvt. Cory M. Bassett has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Devoted foster parents make great efforts to change the lives of children or youth in foster care by providing them with the security and stability that they need as they grow into adults.

Animal habitats, the respiratory system, weather patterns and other science-related projects were in the spotlight recently at Fairgrieve Elementary School. The projects were on display in the cafeteria as part of the school’s annual health and science night.

Nearly 50 students entertained an audience of friends, family and Fulton City School District personnel during the multifaceted concert, which featured singing, jazz tunes and classical music.

Scenes from Dr. Seuss books leaped off the pages and onto the stage at Hannibal High School during a recent concert. The performance started with current hit music sung by the school’s all-female pop choir, and quickly transformed into an evening of musical theater.

New Vision Allied Health students from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation recently coordinated an anti-tobacco program at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Junior/Senior High School to reinforce the negative impacts of tobacco products.

In an effort to bolster family and community involvement in the Hannibal Central School District, a Family Field Day will be held May 30. According to event organizer Kate Babbitt, Family Field Day was developed to align with the goals of the district’s strategic plan.
