Music, Art Festival Returns To Palermo

Wooden-Apple Farmstead Music and Art Festival, in collaboration with CNY Arts Center, returns on August 31 starting at 9 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and local musicians onstage throughout the day running 10 a.m. until dark. The festival also includes a songwriting contest, camping, grilling, and another community mural for freestyle painting fun.

Rotarians Hear About Health Issues

At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Linda Eagan introduced Jiancheng Huang, Public Health Service Director for Oswego County. He presented a program about some of the health challenges facing Oswego County. He reported that Oswego County ranked at the bottom of the 62 counties in New York State regarding self-behaviors.

This benefit for Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County takes place on September 19, at the Oswego Elks Lodge. Teens from Mount Pleasant Church help less fortunate

For several years the Youth Group at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church has attended Reach Work Camp during the summer. Reach, a nationwide youth mission, is now in its 22nd year and is designed to provide teens with an opportunity to help the elderly, handicapped and needy families who need repairs done on their homes.
