Oswego County Autism Task Force is pleased to announce grant monies that will be available to not-for-profit organizations that are currently serving or seeking to provide new opportunities to individuals and families touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder.

LaRock is the son of Lawrence LaRock Jr. of Sperry Mill Road, Cleveland, and Rebecca Tanner of Alice Drive, Parish.

On Thursday, Watertown Commandery No 11 and Lake Ontario No. 32 were inspected by Grand Warder Sir Knight Stenrick B. Adams. The Knights met at Eddies Place in Pulaski for a dinner together.

Assemblyman Will Barclay recently attended the Oswego County Sportsmen’s annual dinner at the Scriba Town Fire Hall. The group discussed sportsmen issues and protecting 2nd Amendment rights.

The event will be held on June 10 from noon until 4 p.m. at the Scriba Fire Department.  The family event, which will include a spaghetti dinner, live entertainment by Bloodline, door prizes, 50/50 raffles, games and crafts for kids, is organized by the Parents of Special Children staff and board members.

The Oswego City Republican Committee met Tuesday and unanimously voted to endorse Judge Spencer Ludington for the position of Surrogate Court Judge.

The 4th annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is April 28 across the U.S. Sea Grant officials are encouraging people to participate in the opportunity to properly dispose of unwanted or unused prescription drugs to keep them out of the Great Lakes.

A deserving Oswego High School music student will be rewarded annually as the result of the newly instituted Edward S. Lisk “Medal of Distinction.” Lisk, for decades, has provided the school district and community with unparalleled work as a musical pioneer.
