The Oswego County Conservative Party Committee will hold its annual spring dinner on May 3 at Lakeview Manor, 723 State Route 3. The guest speaker will be Wendy Long, candidate for United State Senate.

Oswego County Legislature Chairman Fred Beardsley recently presented a certificate to Richard Drosse of the Oswego County Environmental Management Council designating April 21 to 29 as Earth Week 2012

The Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety and Emergency Services Committee presented Mark Downing with a certificate of appreciation for his 10 years of service.

The photo contest winner was announced at a meeting of Oswego County Grange on April 14. Oswego County Pomona Grange Lecturer Ann Taylor presented awards to Carol Reed for her winning photos entered in the county contest.

Past Oswego County Pomona Grange Master George A. Reed presented a grange artifact to Rev. George DeMass representing the Town of Oswego Historical Society. The sign was used in the Grange Hall on 104 in the Town of Oswego.

The Four Seasons Quilters will present its annual quilting demonstration with Pat Knoechel of “Quilt In A Day” on May 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lycoming Methodist Church.

This annual observance aims to improve the health of children two years old and younger by reminding parents to immunize their children against vaccine-preventable childhood diseases.
