Econo Lodge Riverfront Hotel in Oswego Transitions to Quality Inn & Suites

Rotarians Hear From Local Author

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Carol Vescio, left, is pictured with Margaret Streitenberger and Jim Arnold.  Margaret, the author of the recently published book "What Happened When the Dish Ran Away with the Spoon",  illustrated by artist Jim Arnold, spoke about her experience as a pet-sitter which brought her to the animal stories discussed in her book.  The book is available at River's End Book Store in Oswego where there was a book signing in the Spring.  Another book is in the works for  Spring 2012, entitled "Did the Cow Really Jump Over the Moon?"  You can learn more about the author and artist at www.tailsandtales.com. 2011 Traffic Safety Champions

Oswego, NY – The Oswego County Traffic Safety Board is pleased to announce the 2011 Safety Champions. These ten individuals exemplify the hard work and dedication of not only doing their respective jobs, but going above and beyond to teach traffic safety. The group was honored in September at a luncheon in Oswego. From left to right, New York State Troopers, Trooper Shaun Smith, Trooper Steven Euler, Sgt Brian Woodard, standing in for Trooper Ivan Chinikailo, Officer Jarrett Marino, Fulton City Police Dept, Bri Tice, Department of Social Services, Paul Stoner, STOP DWI. Front row, Ron Camp, BOCES, Captain David Lizotte, Oswego City PD, standing in for Officer James LaDue, Officer Jeremy Plyler, Oswego City Police Dept, Lt David VanAntwerp, SUNY Oswego PD, and Billie Crandall Brady, Coordinator of the event.
