At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Brook Greenier was presented with a scholarship to help further her education. Brook is a member of the 2018 graduating class of G. Ray Bodley High School.

As president of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, 1966 SUNY Oswego graduate John Sroka understands firsthand how important volunteer firefighters are to the safety of New York State. Of the state’s 1,665 registered fire departments, more than 90 percent rely solely on volunteers, so he turned to his alma mater to address falling numbers of recruits.

As SUNY Oswego’s third biennial exhibition of outdoor sculptures prepares to move in to the academic quad this summer, the sculptures of 2016-18 prepare to move back to their creators — except one, a contemporary and symbolic birdhouse that has moved to a concrete pad just north of Tyler Hall.

The Mexico Academy and Central School District is embarking on a 1:1 student laptop program to help its students increase their digital literacy and core competencies. MACS Director of Technology Steven Roux said the district will roll out laptops for students in grades two through 12 at the beginning of the 2018-19 school year.
