The occasion marked the 91st anniversary of the club’s founding and continued the club’s collaboration with the Richard S. Shineman Foundation, Pathfinder Bank, and the Tarandi Foundation whose financial contributions help support the awards.
Evans received the the Harwant K. Dosanjh Scholarship for Chemistry or Calculus and received the Academic Program Award from the Environmental Biology Program.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Aspiring playwrights still have a chance to enter their work in the annual Don McCann Memorial Playwriting Contest.
The contest is sponsored by the Oswego Players every year in memory of the late Don McCann, who was a long-time newspaper reporter as well as wonderful director, actor and administrator with the Oswego Players.

The village of Lacona is pleased to announce that on June 28 at 6 p.m., The Guild of Thespian Puppets from the Utica area will perform on the stage at 5 Maple Ave in the village of Lacona.
